About me

My name is Piya. I was born in London, and raised in Tehran. My great-grandparents fled the Russian Revolution. I got to flee the Iranian. Karma.
After attending Christ’s Hospital (a school founded in 1553 that makes Hogwarts look almost normal), I won a scholarship to Cambridge University to double-major in English Literature and French, followed by a Masters in Art History and Aesthetics. I then pursued post-graduate work in Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the New School for Social Research in New York City.
Qualified for good conversation and challenging the way people think, I talked my way into work that allowed me to spend time in museums and galleries around the world, dreaming of the day I would rescue people in the name of Art.
